Why use DeBug Turbo?
DeBug Turbo, formally known as AGRONEEM, is a broad mixture of neem tree extracts. It has four modes of action, any or all of which will affect the species of insect and/or nematode being treated.
- True insecticide and nematocide; kills on contact.
- Anti-feedant; deters insects from eating the treated surface.
- Insect growth regulator; impairs insect development and reproduction.
- Insect repellent; new insect populations are repulsed.
Application rates and frequency
Insect Control on Turfgrass:
Spray 2½ to 5 fluid ounces of DeBug Turbo in 2 to 3 gallons of water per 1000 square feet every 2 to 3 weeks as a preventative. Apply enough water to push some of this solution into the soil. For insect control after infestation, apply 5 to 10 fluid ounces in the same amount of water at the earliest sign of infestation. Repeat at 7 to 10-day intervals if the infestation persists.
Insect Control on Ornamental and Other Plants:
Make up a 1-2% solution of DeBug Turbo in water. Spray 100 gallons per acre of this solution on the stems and leaves (including the underside) of the plants every 2 to 3 weeks as a preventative or at the earliest sign of infestation. Repeat every 2 to 3 weeks as required.
Nematode Control:
Mix one gallon of DeBug Turbo in enough water to cover each 5000 square feet of growing surface. Apply enough water to push the DeBug Turbo into the root zone where the nematodes are located, generally the top four inches of soil. Monitor nematode counts and apply a booster shot of 1 to 2 quarts per 5000 square feet as required. Repeat every 3 to 6 months.
